MELBOURNE: Whirlpool Australia has announced the appointment of Matthew Manterfield as its new national training manager, providing development of training and marketing material in the sales, service and call centre departments across both the Whirlpool and Maytag brands.

“Matthew’s primary goal will be to develop, schedule and deliver quality training programs, which will enhance skills and confidence, support distribution and sales initiatives,” said Whirlpool general manager – marketing, Grant Logie.

“In addition, he will support the marketing function in delivering product launch events, developing technical manuals and assisting with the development of marketing materials.

“He will also provide significant support to the team as we re-launch the Maytag brand and product range in Q3. Matthew will be an integral part of the company’s future success,” Logie said.

Manterfield joins Whirlpool after spending six years with Miele in a number of roles in sales and training.

“This is a great time to be joining Whirlpool as the company prepares to launch new product lines for both the Whirlpool and Maytag brands,” said Manterfield.

“I am looking forward to implementing some new innovations in training and collateral design, and pioneering further development in each of these areas.”

Manterfield will report to Grant Logie and will be located with the marketing team at the Scoresby office.
