MELBOURNE: Bissell Homecare has announced that it will be establishing a local subsidiary in August with veteran floorcare specialist, Jeff Gardner, appointed as national sales manager.
According to a statement issued by Bissell, which claims it is the market leader in floorcare appliances in North America, a national salesforce will be recruited to support Gardner.
“Jeff Gardner has been appointed as national sales manager for the newly formed company, Bissell Australia, and will be joining the company at the completion of the ED Oates agreement,” the statement said.
ED Oates has been the distributor for Bissell products in Australia for the past several years.
“Jeff previously worked with Bissell under the Oates umbrella for three years, establishing the new category of extraction cleaning products into the Australian market place.
“Bissell is confident that with their ongoing commitment to delivering innovative cleaning products, Jeff can once again deliver new sales and profit opportunities for the supporting retailers in the competitive floor care market.
“An experienced national sales and support team will be recruited to ensure that Bissell achieves the sales results that the company is seeking from the lucrative floorcare and cleaning products market in Australia.”
