SYDNEY: The director and owner of Tweed Betta Electrical, which has now become part of the Bi-Rite Electrical business, said it felt like it was a good time to go.

Tweed Heads Bi-Rite Electrical, director and owner, Osman Latiff, told Current.com.au that his decision to join the Bi-Rite group came due to his official resignation from the retail industry this week.

“I’m getting older, so I wanted to make sure the business had the best chance at staying successful – so we joined the Bi-Rite group,” he said.

The Tweed Heads store is the last of three stores previously owned by Latiff to leave the Betta Electrical Group.

“We used to have three BSL stores, but we now have only one and Tweed Heads is the last one left.

“The time felt right so I thought it was good time to go.”

Bi-Rite Electrical franchisor, Abdul Sacur, also recently secured four other Betta Stores Retail (BSR) retailers located across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria including Middlemount, Blackall and Mitchell in Queensland and Donald in Victoria.

“We are continuing to receive enquiries from disenchanted retailers as the word spreads that Bi-Rite can offer an environment for small, medium and large electrical retailers whereby they can grow and be profitable,” Sacur said.

“Many of these well-established businesses have provided their communities with quality service for over two decades.

“There is solid evidence that our formula of good buying, our large range of quality products and brands and the flexibility we offer to our members in terms of ranging and marketing their businesses provides a strong retail footing for our members.
