MELBOURNE: Swiss premium coffee provider, Nespresso, today opened the company’s first Melbourne boutique in the Myer Melbourne City store, launching with a lavish breakfast display.

With a strong presence in over 50 countries around the world, the Melbourne Nespresso Boutique joins 80 existing Boutiques worldwide, located in hubs such as Paris, Milan, Zurich and Sydney.

“We feel privileged to be given the opportunity to extend the Nespresso brand throughout Australia,” said Myer CEO, Bernie Brookes.

“Nespresso is a valued supplier to our stores throughout the country and we feel the addition of their boutique to our Melbourne City Store will provide our customers with a truly unique coffee experience.

“Both organisations are strongly committed to bringing the highest quality product to Australian customers and we are extremely excited about this venture and the potential for developing this relationship in the future,” he said.

According to Nespresso general manager, Jerome Casteigt, Melbourne’s reputation as Australia’s food-loving capital meant that the city was a natural choice for the latest Nespresso boutique.

“Melbourne enjoys a strong and vibrant cafe culture filled with an appreciation for good quality coffee – so the market is indeed ripe for us,” he said.

“The new Melbourne boutique is an elegant showcase of Nespresso’s coffee varieties and machines providing the ideal opportunity for Melbourne coffee lovers to experience the pleasure, indulgence and quality of Nespresso first-hand in beautiful surroundings."

The Nespresso Boutique is located at Myer Melbourne Level 2, 295 Lonsdale Street, in the centre of Melbourne with the Sydney location found at 141 King Street, Sydney.
