SYDNEY: Eight representatives from Fisher & Paykel’s NSW sales team will lead by example this year when they take part in Oxfam’s 100km Trailwalker Harbour to the Hawkesbury Sydney event, to be held from the 24-26 August 2007.

“The Oxfam Trailwalker event is a great initiative designed to raise funds to help disadvantaged people all over the world,” said Fisher & Paykel state manager – New South Wales, Mark Pacey.

“It will also serve to engender a communal spirit of teamwork, focus and achievement in our sales team, benefiting both the individuals participating and the company in so many ways,” he said.

Accompanying Pacey in the walk will be sales manager, Olly Sundstrum, commercial sales manager, Ian Poole as well as Vanessa Moussa, Bobi Vajdevski, Brad Street, Simon Hurst and Michael Skehan.

The trek will see the Fisher & Paykel team journey through Chowder Bay in Mosman, to Northern Sydney’s stunning National Parks and finishing at Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River.

“Fundraising is underway,” Pacey said.

“Our national sales conference presented an opportunity to get things underway, and we have $660 already in the kitty. We are also planning an online auction which is being supported by many of our retail partners by way of donations of televisions, iPods, DVD equipment and similar items, and we expect this will boost our fundraising efforts significantly.

“Other industry events are also planned, including trade nights with a difference.

“We urge all our colleagues and business partners to support our team, and aid this worthwhile charity,” said Pacey.
