SYDNEY: LG Electronics has been voted the Australian Electrical Retailing (ERA) Awards 2007 Supplier of the Year award, capping a successful night for LG, who also won the GfK Adding Value Award for Major Appliances and achieved nominations for eight other awards.

As winner of the best supplier award, LG Electronics was recognised by retailers as a brand with a strong portfolio of products across a number of key electrical categories.

“Retailers recognised that this supplier offered retailers innovative products with good margin and exceptional backup and service,” Appliance Retailer and current.com.au managing editor, James Wells, said on the night.

One judge described this supplier as offering “superb backup and service, and highly effective marketing”, while another stated LG was a “great supplier with stock in all cities, the best consumer promotions and is a highly supportive company at store level.”

LG who achieved ERA nominations across a broad range of categories including laundry, refrigeration, dishwashers, microwave ovens, cooling, home theatre, audio and visual.

Other finalists in the running for the Best Supplier of the Year ERA Award were Electrolux Home Products, Fisher & Paykel, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.
