SYDNEY: The audio and visual finalists for the second annual Electrical Retailing Awards (ERAs), to be held Friday 13 April 2007, have been confirmed, with Sony, LG and Panasonic reaching the final five in both categories.

The five finalists in the $811 million audio category, which are judged in accordance with GfK value data, are Apple, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Sony and Yamaha. The audio category spans stereo systems and mp3 players.

Competition in the visual category is set to be fierce, with LG Electronics, Panasonic, Pioneer, Samsung and Sony again listed as the top five brands to do battle for the ERA.

The ERAs, which are run by Appliance Retailer magazine and Current.com.au in conjunction with GfK Australia, is the only dedicated awards night that rewards companies for market-leadership in generating both unit volume and dollar value within the Australia electrical retailing industry.

The winning manufacturer will be a market leader in design and innovation, profitability and margin, promotional and advertising support, with sales representation and service backup supporting it.

The ERA Awards will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on Friday 13 April 2007. Tickets are available now — contact ana@intermedia.com.au
