SYDNEY: With the 2007 Electrical Retailing Awards (ERAs) less than two weeks away, the finalists for the seasonal categories of heating and cooling have been announced, and the competition is fierce across both categories which have experienced strong growth.

The finalists in the $611 million cooling category which grew by 15 per cent in 2006, as judged by GfK value data, are Fujitsu, Kelvinator, LG, Mitsubishi and Panasonic.

While in the $112 million heating category which grew by 12 per cent in 2006, De’Longhi, Dimplex, IXL, Kambrook and Sunbeam will compete for the award.

The ERAs are the only dedicated awards night that rewards companies for market-leadership in generating both unit volume and dollar value within the Australia electrical retailing industry. They are held by Appliance Retailer magazine and Current.com.au in conjunction with GfK Australia.

The winning manufacturer will be a market leader in design and innovation, profitability and margin, promotional and advertising support, with sales representation and service backup supporting it.

The ERA Awards will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on Friday 13 April 2007. Please contact Ana on 02 9660 2113 for more information.
