SYDNEY: Housewares International (HWI), the publicly-listed parent company of Breville and Kambrook brands, has announced the promotion of category manager, Stephanie Tiong, to a role in its US division.

Tiong has been appointed by the Housewares International business in North America as market research manager and will be joining the business effective from Chicago Housewares Show which is being held this week.

Prior to her promotion, Tiong was assistant category manager – motor driven appliances and was one of the key marketing staff working on the launch of the Breville Kinetix blender range prior to Christmas.

 “This is a massive developmental opportunity for Stephanie and it means that if and when she does comes back, she will bring an intimate understanding of the brand in the American market as well as bringing greater consistency and cooperation between the new business. This is a very good example of what HWI can offer young career minded people who are mobile and are open to this type of experience,” Searle said.
