SYDNEY: Hitachi Australia has appointed two new staff members — Brendan Flanagan and Megumi Maruyama — to its consumer products marketing team marking the final step in a series of staff changes made to the group.

Flanagan joins Hitachi after a four-year stint with NEC, where he most recently held the role of whitegoods manager, while Maruyama joined Hitachi back in 2004 as a management accountant in corporate finance.

“The appointments of Brendan and Megumi complete the execution of our consumer products marketing team re-structure announced in 2006,” said Hitachi sales and marketing manager – consumer products group, Geoff Hannaford.

“The new candidates’ experience has been evident in a short time with Hitachi and they have integrated seamlessly into the team,” he said.
