MELBOURNE: Pioneer Electronics Australia has been appointed the exclusive Australian, New Zealand and Oceania distributor for Premier Mounts, a US-based manufacturer of projector, plasma and LCD TV mountings.
Pioneer says the Premier Mounts product range will complement its plasma line-up, and will be distributed through several consumer and commercial retailers.
Founded in 1977, Premier Mounts has almost 1,000 products in its range aimed at the consumer and commercial markets and over 3,500 representatives and dealers worldwide.
The Premier Mounts range includes solutions for the living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and boardroom suiting a variety of projectors and flat panel TVs from all leading consumer electronics manufacturers.
Pioneer has promoted former video communications manager for the home entertainment group, Joe Bottero, to the role of business manager for Premier Mounts Australia and New Zealand.
“Pioneer and Premier Mounts share similar qualities when it comes to quality and service. Like pioneer, Premier Mounts is dedicated to providing quality products with a high service standard to match,” said Bottero.
“Pioneer was the first manufacturer to introduce a five-year warranty on plasma screens in Australia and Premier Mounts is the first company to offer a lifetime warranty on all of its mounts.”
Sales of flat panel mounts grew 85 per cent in the US market in 2006 according to data released by the Consumer Electronics Association at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this month.
Flat panel mounts were among the top 10 growth categories behind LCD television (160 per cent), portable navigation (154 per cent), DVD recorders (132 per cent) and DVD/VHS recorders (97 per cent).
