SYDNEY: Doro Australia will begin the search for its second managing director in 12 months following the announcement this morning that current MD, Matt Segafredo, will resign from the position after just nine months in the role.

The local subsidiary of the Danish telecommunications company has yet to announce a replacement for Segafredo, but Doro Australia marketing coordinator, Janelle Lucht said an announcement will be made within weeks.

“Matt Segafredo has announced his resignation from Doro Australia,” said Lucht in a statement to current.com.au this morning.

“His charter was to stabilise the company and create new direction. Matt will conclude his employment with Doro at the end of January 2007.”

Segafredo was appointed to the role in February 2006 when managing director, Tom Ringen, left the role after three years to return to his home country of Norway.

Prior to joining Doro, Segafredo worked with Logitech and Ingram Micro, and has had over 16 years experience in the retail telco industry.
