MELBOURNE: G.A.F. Control has been forced to conduct a national recall of six faulty convection heaters under the Sunair, Heller, Radi-i and Modern Living brands which have the potential of self-igniting or burning.

According to a statement distributed by the product safety section of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the recall applies to the Sunair CVS2000, Sunair CVS2000F, Sunair CVS2000T, Heller CVSH2000F, Radi-i TCVS2000F and Modern Living MLCVS2000F convection heaters sold between April 2005 and October 2006.

The convection heaters may have a mechanical fault with an internal electrical terminal, which in the event of a failure could result in the surrounding material igniting and burning the plastic end covers.

Customers should cease using and return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, contact the supplier on 1300 659 489.
