QUEENSLAND: Des Nicholsons Betta Electrical will now trade as Betta Electrical Biloela after Betta Stores Limited (BSL) announced the name change earlier this month.
The BSL store located at 53 Kariboe St, Biloela, Queensland, and owned by R.C & B.G McGuire for the last four years, has undergone the name change and a major store renovation in an attempt to further enhance store performance.
“Originally we bought the business off Des Nicholson, he was the previous store owner about four years ago, and so we just thought we should change it up and shorten the name a bit,” said Betta Electrical Biloela proprietor, Robert McGuire.
“We also renovated the store about 12 months ago. We bought the building next door, knocked the walls out and completely revamped the whole show and renamed it to Biloela Betta Electrical.”
The expansion allowed the retailer to increase its product range and provide some serious competition to other retailers in the area.
“We carry a lot more stock now, we have doubled the amount of stock we carry. We find the expansion gives the people in the town a lot more choice.
“In Biloela there’s a Retravision and then there’s us. So business is quite good,” McGuire said.
