MELBOURNE: Fisher & Paykel has made a significant investment by purchasing a sponsorship within Australia’s largest home interest show – the RACV Home Show and Garden Expo in Melbourne.
The event, which commenced last weekend, will close on Sunday 27 August at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre at Southbank.
Fisher & Paykel has sponsored the event’s cooking stage and is providing consumers with a preview of the company’s new world-first products including the Luna gas-in-glass cooktop with frameless ceramic glass.
According to Fisher & Paykel Victorian state manager, Ken Anderson, the product that has received the most attention has been the new ice and water refrigerators.
“If the interest we’ve received at the Melbourne Home Show is anything to go by, our new Active Smart Ice & Water models will be very popular once released later in the year," he said.
“Ice and water dispensing refrigerators aren’t new, however an upright fridge featuring an ice and water dispenser is. Ice and water fridges, up until now, have always been installed in side-by-side models, which are not always a popular choice due to their size and configuration."
The stand received additional publicity on Monday morning when the Seven Network’s Sunrise program conducted a live segment featuring Fisher & Paykel products.
“Having the Sunrise breakfast segment go to air has been very helpful to us. Many people have been seeking out our stand to take a look at this cooking phenomenon for themselves,” said Anderson.
The Fisher & Paykel cooking stage features several well-known Melbourne chefs including those from the Crown Casino.
