MELBOURNE: Bissell business manager, Jeff Gardner, has left his position after three years to become general manager of wholesale floorcare business, Vacspare.

Vacspare is a 65 year-old parts and accessories business for the floorcare industry which is a subsidiary of International Cleaning Solutions – who recently purchased the Godfrey’s retail business.

Gardner commenced working for Vacspare this week, after resigning from Bissell on Friday.

Gardner will be general manager of Vacspare AVCC and NZCC which operates only in the territories of Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand.

Under the company’s structure, the AVCC business operates in a separate area to Vacspare Electrical Home Aids business which is located in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
Vacspare is a that has operated for over 65 years.

“We will be looking at new opportunities in floorcare retailing for existing retailers,” Gardner told Current.com.au.

“We will be operating as a separate company altogether from Godfreys as we are a wholesale business, and they are a retail business. It is no different to other multi-branded companies such as Simpson, Kelvinator with Electrolux.

Gardner said he enjoyed his time at Bissell and is proud of his achievements in the role.

“We set up the business from square one, with distribution, product range and unique marketing strategies. I achieved everything I wanted to in that three year period.”
