MELBOURNE: Custom installation specialists, QualiFi, has announced two staff changes at its Melbourne office, including a new national sales manager as well as a new custom division manager.

Phil Hawkins joins the team as national sales manager replacing Mike Wilson, who left QualiFi to work with Ultralift, Australia’s leading automated audiovisual equipment manufacturer.

Hawkins has considerable experience with premium brands in the AV market.

He spent 11 years at Marantz and 10 years with Yamaha Music Australia, as well as a short stint with Toshiba distributor Castel before heading to QualiFi.

QualiFi has also appointed Martyn Shirley as custom division manager responsible for Jamo, Opus, Marantz and Mordaunt-Short custom products.

Shirley will provide all necessary after-sales service and technical backup to QualiFi dealers and installers.

Shirley recently arrived in Australia after working with Opus UK since 2002 and Baker’s Radio prior to that, where he grew his division from £50,000 to £450,000 annually.
