SYDNEY: A number of senior Sony executives will arrive in Sydney next month to attend Experience More – an event which will celebrate the company’s 60th birthday and combine the resources of Sony’s consumer electronics, gaming and mobile telephony businesses.

Sony. Experience More, to be held on 11 August at the Hordern Pavilion within Fox Studios, will be opened by Dr Ryoji Chubachi – president and electronics CEO of Sony Corporation.

Also attending the event are other top level Sony Corporation executives – Mr Makoto Kogure, the Senior General Manager for TV and Mr Toru Katsumoto, the Senior General Manager of Sony’s Alpha Mount Camera Division.
Mr Kogure visited Australia last year for the worldwide launch of the Bravia television brand in Sydney. This will be Mr Katsumoto’s first visit to Australia.

“We’re honoured that Dr Chubachi will be attending this year’s Sony. Experience More,” said Sony Australia managing director, Shusuke Oshima.

“We are delighted that he will be here to deliver his message of support to the Australian market and open such an important event to our valued retail partners.”

Over 500 retailers are expected to attend the event which will focus on the company’s high definition technology including Bravia LCD televisions, Blu-ray high definition optical disc technology and the next generation video gaming console, PlayStation3.
