SYDNEY: LG Electronics has promoted former IT retail sales executive, Phillip David to the position of national IT sales manager, replacing George Davos who left the company six months ago.

In his new role, David will be responsible for managing the channel, commercial and retail business for LG’s IT products including notebook PCs, LCD monitors, optical drives and recordable media.

“LG Electronics is confident that Mr David will contribute and work closely with our determined and dynamic national sales team who have successfully established the brand as a leader in information technology,” said LG Electronics Australia managing director, Daniel Shin.

“Mr David has already displayed his commitment towards maintaining LG’s position as a world class, premium and innovative IT manufacturer. He and the national sales team plan on creating further awareness of its global positioning within the Asia Pacific market.”

David has 15 years experience in sales and market roles in the consumer electronics industry with companies including Sanyo Australia as business development manager.
