SYDNEY: Housewares International (HWI) has appointed Megan Hauptfleisch as marketing manager specifically for the Breville brand.

Hauptfleisch reports to Housewares International general manager – marketing, Cameron Searle, who was appointed earlier this year to oversee the marketing activities for all brands within the company including Philips, Kambrook, Breville, Ronson and Goldair.

Hauptfleisch replaces Peter Brewer, who left the company in March and is now the marketing manager at personal care and kitchen appliance specialist, Conair.

Hauptfleisch, a trained qualitative researcher, has over 20 years experience in marketing including eight years at Unilever as well as roles with SC Johnson and AC Neilsen. Most recently she ran her own consultancy contracting for companies including Kimberly Clark.

Housewares International managing director, Joe Hersch, has also announced he will be expanding his design department with an additional 10 designers to focus on new products and concepts.
