MELBOURNE: Importer and distributor of the Conia, Konka and Hicon brands, Pebble Electronics has announced some staff movements and a formalising of its business structure in the wake of a significant investment from Colonial First State Equity.

Pebble CEO, David Chan told current.com.au that the changes and the implementation of a fomal structure are designed to further strengthen the company’s business model.

“As well as some internal logistical and operational changes, we have made some important promotions and appointments in our national sales structure,” he said.

 Among the changes announced is the promotion of former national sales manager, Nicholas Fry to the position of general manager – sales.

“Nick has been with Pebble for three years and developed some major business alliances in that time in his role as national sales manager. Nick has 20 years industry experience, and as general manager for sales will oversee our national sales force, develop ongoing strategies and continue to develop new business opportunities with our major customers.”

Philip Kong has been announced as general manager – product and pricing.

“Philip has been with Pebble for three years and works very closely with our overseas suppliers in sourcing the best range of products at the best pricing for our customers and his new role will further strengthen our offer to the market.”

Pebble has also formally identified a series of state sales managers including Queensland sales manager, Jason Huang.

“Jason has been an integral part of our growth in Queensland over the past few years,” said Chan.

 In New South Wales, Pebble has announced Norman Tran as the state sales manager and due to growth in the region, Rodney Duncan has been employed as New South Wales account manager.

“Norman has worked very hard in the tough New South Wales market to develop the Pebble business. Rodney comes to us with vast experience, both wholesale and retail,” Chan said.

Brad Perret has been named Victoria/South Australia sales manager.  

“We are confident Brad can reproduce the excellent results he has generated for us in Victoria in South Australia.”

In Victoria, Kaden McCaffery has been announced as the state sales manager.

“Kaden has been a very valuable asset in our business and in his role as sales manager will oversee major and national accounts.
