SYDNEY: Electrolux Home Products has unveiled the first Australian-made Electrolux-brand cooking appliances at the DesignEx exhibition in Sydney which will be known under the sub-brands E-Line and E-Pro.

According to Electrolux’s Steve Tierney, the products feature European design and Australian manufacturing from the company’s Dudley Park factory in Adelaide.

At this stage, the flagship product within the premium E-Pro range is a 90cm freestanding cooker which features telescopic runners, backlit dials, nine function electronic interface, catalytic liners as well as a six burner gas cooktop with double wok burners.

To complement the cooker is an innovative E-Pro rangehood which delivers over 1,000 cubic metres per hour of air flow.

The E-Pro range is not expected to be launched until 2007.

The less expensive, but premium positioned E-Line range features several Electrolux branded ovens and cooktops.
On display at DesignEx is a fully programmable eight function oven, fully programmable 12 function oven as well as a
double oven and a duo oven featuring one and a half ovens.

To complement the range is an E-Line five burner gas cooktop with wok burner and a four burner gas cooktop with wok burner as well as a touch control ceramic cooktop in 60cm and 90cm configurations, as well as a ceramic cooktop with dial controls.

An integrated dishwasher, the EX500, was also on display.
