SYDNEY: Garry Boyd has resigned from his position at Lexar as Australia and New Zealand national sales manager.

Lexar is a major supplier of memory cards, USB flash drives, mp3 players and card readers and competes directly with SanDisk as well as Panasonic’s SD card and Sony’s Memory Stick portable media products.

Prior to joining Lexar in 2005, Boyd was national retail sales manager at Canon Australia for four years.

Boyd has several years of experience in the consumer electronics and technology markets. He has held numerous national sales and account management roles at companies including Sony Australia, Telstra, Optus and Akai.

“I would like to remain in this industry and I am actively looking to take on another national sales or account management position. I still have very strong contacts with major independent retailers and buyers from all major retail groups,” said Boyd.

Lexar has not announced a replacement for Boyd at this stage.
