Intel and Nine Network’s parent company Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd (PBL) have also signed on as sponsors of the venue.

A statement released by Acer said the brand will use the sponsorship to build brand awareness, particularly through the ‘positive and enjoyable experiences’ consumers will have at new technology exhibits Acer plans to build at the venue.

“Through every Acer Arena experience, patrons can see the truly amazing and enjoyable experience that technology has to offer,” said Acer Oceania managing director, Charles Chung. “Acer is already on track to being the number one PC vendor in 2007 and is proud to fuel this world-class entertainment venue, right here in Australia.”

Intel and Acer will collaborate to create a digital technology showcase in the foyer featuring Acer’s consumer electronics products and Intel’s new Viiv technology. The interactive zone will allow consumers to get hands-on with the latest technology products from the two brands.
