Philips Electronics has confirmed its current sales and marketing manager, Matt Moran, will be retained in the position on a permanent basis after being originally appointed to the role temporarily to replace Amanda Hart, who took maternity leave last year.

Moran joined Philips Australia in January 2005 after previously working for Philips in the UK.

“We are very pleased that Matt Moran will continue his role within the Australian consumer electronics team,” said Philips CEO, Harry van Dyk.

“His in-depth knowledge of the fast-moving European and UK markets, combined with his hands-on management style and attitude have made him an important leader to our team. In addition, his role in fostering key partner relationships and acumen for business development make him a great fit for furthering our growth.”

Hart will return to Philips but in the role of Human Resources partner, and will be involved in recruiting key positions in the organisation.

Philips has also announced the appointment of Anu Bakshi to the role of marketing assistant, and Adam Hobson, formerly of JVC Australia, has joined Philips as account manager for the Victorian sales team.
