MELBOURNE: Electrolux has appointed its former marketing manager – floor care and small appliances, John Mahar to the position of Australian managing director – floor care and small appliances, replacing Stefan Nybonn, who is leaving the company to take up an internal senior management role within the Husqvarna outdoor products division.
Mahar joined Electrolux in New Zealand in July 1998 and successfully headed up the NZ floor care business until mid-2004 when he moved to Australia to take his previous marketing manager position.
In his new role, Mahar will have responsibility for the group’s floor care and small appliance operation based in Melbourne, and operationally he will continue to support the Electrolux New Zealand floor care business in product range management and marketing.
John Mahar reports to Electrolux president – floor care and small appliances – international, Suresh Balan, who is based in Stockholm.
