De’Longhi Australia has announced an ongoing partnership with Nespresso, which will see the small appliance manufacturer distribute co-branded espresso products in the local market previously managed by Magimix.
The deal, which was formerly announced late on Friday 24 February 2006, follows a strong partnership with the company in Austria, Spain and Germany.
De’Longhi will join Groupe SEB’s coffee brand Krups as the only other distributor of co-branded Nespresso machines in Australia.
De’Longhi will launch seven new machines in April including three Essenza machines (RRP $299), two Essenza automatic machine machines (RRP $399), the De’Longhi Nespresso Concept machine (RRP $549) and the Nespresso Concept Flow Stop (RRP $699).
According to Groupe Seb Australia managing director, Wivina Chaneliere, Krups represents 80 per cent of Nespresso sales in Australia.

We have been supporting the Nespresso partnership for years in Australia. I hope that this will improve Nespresso’s overall market share. Nespresso recently opened its first retail boutique which sells its coffee machines and proprietary coffee capsules directly to consumers.
