To support local communities.

Australian residents are once again being encouraged to nominate a local group, charity, school, sporting club or program that is making a difference in the community and they could be selected to receive a donation in the lead up to The Good Guys Doing Good Day on Saturday 1 July 2017.

Doing Good Day is an annual event where The Good Guys and local communities come together to Do Good and make a difference.

“At The Good Guys we value the difference we can make when we work together with our community, so finding and helping those who truly need it is something we are extremely passionate about,” The Good Guys PR and cause manager, Cathy Rennie Matos said.

“In the lead up to Doing Good Day we look to help those most in need by supporting charities and organisations that work tirelessly to address important social challenges through grass-roots programs and projects,” she added.

This is the third year that The Good Guys has hosted a Doing Good campaign, but this one is particularly important as it coincides with a significant milestone reached in the organisation’s Local Giving Program.

“Our Local Giving Program sees a percentage of every transaction made in-store and online donated back to Australian charities. We are proud to announce that we have now donated $10 million to more than 150 different charities since the program began in 2006, plus millions more in appliance donations to thousands of local organisations across Australia,” Matos said.
