Consolidating to single distributor.

Klipsch is changing distribution strategies throughout the APAC region, specifically Australia, effective immediately. The company will end its partnership with Powermove and streamline its efforts with lone-time Klipsch partner, QualiFi, to better align with the manufacturer’s global strategy.

Klipsch president and CEO, Paul Jacobs said, “The Australian market is very important to us. Key to our success in this exciting marketplace is defining and executing the correct mix of streamlined distribution, utilising select retail partners and emphasising brand control. This change positions Klipsch Group to be able to enhance the global consumer experience for our premium products.”

Klipsch general manager for Asia Pacific, Vince Bonacorsi added, “A core tenet of Klipsch Group’s global strategy is to increase focus in all markets. When we assessed our strategy in Australia, it was apparent to us we needed to simplify the business and streamline our distribution. This will allow us to create a more effective brand image with business partners and consumers.”

“QualiFi is a highly respected importer and a long-time partner of Klipsch Group. The entire Klipsch team is very excited about working together to build the Klipsch and Jamo brands in Australia,” Bonacorsi continued.

QualiFi CEO Michael Henriksen further commented, “Loudspeaker distribution has been the backbone for QualiFi since we started the Jamo distribution in Australia in 1982. From the time Klipsch purchased Jamo in 2005, QualiFi has enjoyed a close relationship and great support from the Klipsch organisation.

“With the recent changes in the traditional loudspeaker market, we are very excited to now represent both Jamo and the full suite of innovative Klipsch products which we believe has a huge potential in the Australian market.”
