To open in Melbourne.

BSH’s luxury appliance brand Gaggenau has confirmed it will open a new showroom in South Melbourne in the second half of 2017 – the first of its kind in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Gaggenau general manager, Robert Warner, the target for the opening will be at the end of July or early August.

“We aim to deliver a luxurious brand experience to drive consumer awareness and exposure to the Gaggenau culture,” Warner told Appliance Retailer.

“Sue Carr Design has been appointed to bring the Gaggenau design studio to life, combining her expertise and reputation for premier residential and commercial design to deliver on the Gaggenau brand promise,” Warner said.

“We imagine the kitchen as an integrated concept that touches various aspects of life – an interaction of culinary experiences, design and architecture.”

“A Gaggenau kitchen exists to offer the best cooking experience. The new South Melbourne showroom will draw out the culinary artist within our luxury high-end consumers through the exploration of food, cooking techniques and the precision of the appliances. It will also provide an environment for architects, designers and developers to experience the Gaggenau difference.

“The building we have chosen has real heart and soul with a lot of exposed brick, as well as the connection to the Black Forest and Gaggenau’s heritage.

“The core values of the Gaggenau brand are:

  • Heritage with over 334 years of history;
  • Worldwide leading luxury brand for home appliances;
  • Professional cooking results in a domestic application;
  • Precision and avant-garde design.

“Bringing together that design and heritage into a showroom to produce a professional cooking experience is something that excites us. Everything we do is driven by our wish to make the private chef almost as good as the professional chef.”
