Due to arrive in Australia later this year.

Electrolux has been awarded a prestigious gold iF Design Award for its ComfortLift dishwasher, which allows efficient and ergonomic loading thanks to its unique lifting system of the lower rack. At an awards ceremony held in Munich last week, the dishwasher was announced as one of 75 winners of the top accolade, selected from more than 5,000 submissions by a panel of about 60 leading design experts.

The jury commented, “Electrolux integrated a clever new function into the ComfortLift: the lower dish drawer can be glided upward and locked into place, turning the act of emptying and refilling the dishwasher into child’s play.”

Electrolux Australia confirmed that it is currently working with the company’s global R&D team to ready the award-winning Electrolux ComfortLift dishwasher for the local market, according to Dishcare category manager, Dominic Wong.

“We are discussing a few minor tweaks to make it even more appealing to Australian and New Zealand consumers and, of course, to comply with local standards. We are very excited about the impact this product will create and, all being well, we expect to be able to introduce it here later this year,” Wong told Appliance Retailer.

The ComfortLift dishwasher is currently available in European markets under the Electrolux and AEG brands.
