With new flat-to-the-wall design.

Nespresso will launch the first product in its Expert&milk range of smartphone connected coffee machines that allows users to personalise everything from temperature to serving size. It is expected to be available from late March.

Using Bluetooth smart technology, the machine seamlessly links with the Nespresso smartphone app, allowing coffee lovers to brew their favourite Nespresso Grand Cru from their bed or lounge. Innovative design comes to the fore with a new cutting edge flat-to-the-wall shape that saves worktop space in kitchen without compromising on style, a first for Nespresso.

Other features include four serving sizes – Ristretto (25ml), Espresso (40ml), Lungo (110ml) and the new Americano (25ml coffee and 125ml hot water); three temperature settings; capsule stock management; de-scaling and maintenance reminders; scheduling of coffee brewing at a specific time and automatic power-off after nine minutes of non-use.

“We are always looking to offer exceptional new experiences that push the boundaries,” commercial manager, Nicole Parker said. “We know that consumers love to personalise their coffees which is why we have introduced a longer serving size, the Americano, which is a very long and mild coffee, prepared with 25ml of coffee followed by 125ml hot water.”

The Expert&milk has a fully integrated Aeroccino3 milk frother in line with the design and finish of the machine. Both models come in two colour options, Off Black and Anthracite Grey, in matte and gloss finishes with brushed aluminium elements. There is also and a magnetic drip tray to make it easier to switch between different serving sizes.

The machines will be available for $559 recommended retail, from February 20, 2017 for the Off Black and early May for the Anthracite Grey.
