Beko Australia and New Zealand managing director, Murray Linn announced his retirement. Former Electrolux Home Products managing director, Dr John Brown will commence in the role of managing director for Beko, effective January 9, 2017. Brown was managing director at Electrolux between 2008 and 2015, including a 12 month assignment as CEO of Electrolux China.
Beko regional director of Asia Pacific, Zafer Ustuner acknowledged the hard work and loyalty of Murray Linn. “Beko has achieved a lot in the short time since launching in Australia and New Zealand in 2012, and Murray and Mike Goadby before him have built a great team” he said. “We are very pleased that John Brown has joined Beko as this will further strengthen our leadership going forward.”
Ustuner himself was recently appointed to run the Asia Pacific region, having established Beko in Germany and heading Russia in his most recent roles. “We are pleased with our business progress down under and have exciting new products and launches next year, which will continue to build on what we have established. We aim to repeat here our success in Europe being market leader in freestanding products and overall leadership in key markets like the UK,” he said.
