Barbecues to launch in early September.

Shriro has announced that Australia will be the first global market for the new range of Everdure by Heston Blumenthal charcoal and gas barbecues when they launch in early September.

The official launch will be held at Spoga outdoor trade fair at Cologne in Germany on 4 September and the products will launch immediately afterwards.

Shriro CEO Mike Westrup told Appliance Retailer there will be five barbecues available at launch ranging in price from $199 to $1999.

“The product will be sold through Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Bunnings and barbecue specialists. It is a very tight range to start with five SKUs initially.

“We then plan to be shipping in the UK for February next year as well as Northern Europe. We have had a very positive reaction to Heston not only in Australia, but also throughout the UK and in Europe.

“We are currently focused on getting the product up and running. We are very excited about the innovation, as are the retailers. We just want to get it into the marketplace and start getting consumers to have a good experience with these products.

The difference with these products is they cook the meat in a way that leaves it a lot moister than a traditional gas barbecue or grill and that feature is right across the range.

“Our people were recently up in Bray with Heston and he is referring to these barbecues as his 3 Star Michelin barbecues.”

In June, Shriro announced its partnership with Heston Blumenthal to develop the Everdure range of barbecues.
