Tailored design to fit New Myer strategy.

A newly refurbished Myer store opened its doors on Thursday as one of the anchor stores in the $400 million Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre redevelopment.

The 12,500 square metre, two level store showcases the new store design, layout, brands and services, all tailored specifically to local Werribee customers. The store now features more than 80 new brands, including Smeg, KitchenAid and Dyson, an expanded toys and travel goods range, a home decorator destination and in-store cafe.

Myer chief merchandise and customer office, deputy CEO, Daniel Bracken (pictured) said there has been a great level of excitement in the community for the opening of the store.

“Werribee is a rapidly growing suburb in Melbourne and we know that our local customers and team are very excited to open the new look Myer store. As part of our New Myer strategy, we have tailored the new store design, brands and services to match what we know our local Werribee customers want,” Bracken commented.

“The new store will also offer our latest innovation with the arrival of the Myer Hub which provides in-store services in one convenient location including Click & Collect, Shop and Drop, gift registry, free Wi-Fi and a smartphone recharge station,” he said.

Myer Werribee store manager, Sandra Ilias described the store opening as a “highlight of her 24 year career with Myer.”

“More than 300 Myer team members and brand partners have worked over 8,000 hours to deliver the new store. We are so excited and proud to give our customers a new shopping experience with Myer,” she added.

Myer ambassador, Lauren Phillips will officially launch the opening of the Myer Werribee store on Saturday which will include appearances by AFL stars, Patrick Dangerfield and Jake Stringer, as well as live performances by Hi-5.
