The Square Reader (pictured above) retails for $19 and all card transactions attract a processing fee of 1.9%, with businesses receiving deposits from Square into their bank accounts the following business day.

Harvey Norman Australia national business manager of technology and entertainment, Glen Gregory told Appliance Retailer, “We see Square as an important addition to our wide range of small business products, for not only our small business customers but the many grassroots sporting organisations that we work with across the country in our stores every day.

“Square offers an attractive and simple to use payment system with a clear cost structure and low cost of entry making it ideal for everyone including personal trainers, tradespeople, market stall operators, food trucks, fundraisers plus many more.”
