Breville has been recognised for design excellence at the international 2016 Red Dot and iF Design Awards in Germany, winning six awards for its products.

The Boss to Go personal blender and the Thermal Pro Cookware won a Red Dot and iF Design Award. The new Bakery Boss bench mixer (pictured) and the Breville PolyScience Control Freak Temperature Controlled Cooking System also received a Red Dot Design Award.

When assessing submission, the judges reviewed the degree of innovation, aesthetic quality and realisation possibility, to the product’s functionality and usefulness.

Breville principal designer, Eddie Siu said each competition receives around 5,000 entries from more than 50 countries each year. “It makes me proud to see Australian design and innovation again being recognised on the world stage, particularly as our products are now available in more and more countries including Europe, North America and South East Asia.”
