Movember means men get serious about health.

Four staff members from Harvey Norman’s Orange store in NSW, Tim Duggan, Beau Dunn, Tyson Chaves and Shaun Whiting, are growing moustaches to raise money and awareness for the Movember Foundation.

Organiser Tim Duggan said the team’s main objective was to raise awareness and they are determined to keep growing their ‘mo’s’ until November 30. So far, the team has raised over $350 and are still hoping to reach their target of $2000.

“Men’s health is a massive issue and we want to raise awareness and get the word out,” he said.

Duggan explained to the Central West Daily that speaking to customers every day and getting to know the community was a driver towards supporting this cause.

“It’s astounding how many local men are affected by illness and it takes nothing to support,” he said. “Every single dollar counts.”

Movember participant Beau Dunn said he had lost family members to men’s cancer. “Not everyone is fully aware of what Movember represents and that it’s all men’s illnesses. Movember is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness,” he said.
