The Good Guys (TGG) continues its run of accolades with its award for the coveted ‘Best-of-the-Best Retailer Award 2015’ at the Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500 Awards ceremony last night for the second year in a row.

The Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500 Awards recognise the region’s top performing retail companies across a gamut of categories including electrical, fashion and beauty.

TGG has already been named as winners in the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards, the Australian Business Awards, the Australian Retail Awards and, most recently, the Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Awards for a fifth year running.

TGG CEO, Michael Ford, said the company was thrilled to be recognised in the Asia-Pacific region for its retail excellence.

“Winning this award for the second consecutive year is a great honour and vindicates the extremely hard work the company is doing at all levels. From the Support Centre to the 100 shop floors around the nation, it has truly been a team effort,” said Mr Ford.

TGG achieved this award amidst an increasingly competitive retail environment and a weakening Australian dollar.

“Maintaining and growing a successful retail business means constantly innovating and transforming.

“In the past year we have overhauled our operations, inventory management and supply chain as well as made further investment in our e-commerce infrastructure to ensure we are competitive at all touch points,” Ford added.

Nevertheless, the company still places the greatest emphasis on customer satisfaction, a mantra The Good Guys has adopted since its inception in 1952.

“Our customers are always evolving and we are committed to growing with them by making it easy for the customer to research and purchase when, where and how they like.

“We truly believe that while price is key driver in customer decisions, factors such as in-store experience, range of product and availability are just as, and if not more, important to our customers,” Ford said.

In addition to a successful customer centric business, Ford highlighted that TGG is also committed to community outreach with initiatives such as the Local Giving Program, The Good Guys Super Hero Training Academy and the company’s ongoing commitment to ‘Doing Good’ in the communities in which it operates.
