Kogan Australia is recalling the Kogan 1400W Vitablast Blender because there have been instances where the blender blade has broken during use.

According to the ACCC recall notice published today, an inconsistency in the metal used in the manufacture of the lower blade of the blender has resulted in the blade breaking during use in some cases. Broken blade pieces could be a choking hazard if mixed with food or drinks.

The product was sold between 20 November 2014 and 8 January 2015, so consumers who bought a Vitablast Blender from Kogan.com.au over the Christmas period should check to see if it has the identifying product code KAVTABLSTXA.

If affected, consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact Kogan.com for a replacement part.
